Day

Darkness dense surrounds me; Bleak despair shrouds me; I can't see my way. I need a better day. Blinking, blindly crying, Without light I'm dying. I need a beam of hope At the end of my rope. Without hope for tomorrow, I suffocate in sorrow; I die today Without a better day. Somewhere in the distance The darkness meets resistance. There is a light, Salvation bright! Someone payed my way And purchased me a better day. I can face the gloom, Death is not my doom. I have the hope of life someday.
