On That Day

She went with somebody else I just hope he treat her right I can't do nothing else Except get in a fight And she'll never know The way I felt about her I just know I'll always remember her That look on her face The curve of her hips What I can't trace Including her lips That I would like to kiss But she ain't gone It ain't the end of this I'll let her have fun Before the day we do kiss On that day That we do kiss Nothing will get in our way As I give her a kiss And I'll give her the ring She'll say yes And I will sing That she said yes But that ain't today He's in the way It looks far away I just hope someday She'll finally realize Were meant for each other And realize That there ain't no other Man for her A man that will treat her right Write poems for her And Call her each night Spend time with her So they won't have to fight That man is me I'll let her have fun Don't worry about me Just go have fun But first kiss me good bye On that day That we do kiss Nothing will get in our way As I give her a kiss And I'll give her the ring She'll say yes And I will sing That she said yes That day will come But for now I have to wait Need to let her have fun Need to not hate Need to be patient Our time will come This ain't no accident But let's just have fun As soon as they break up I'll wait one month to ask her out Help her get back up And we'll just shout That we finally together Nothing can take us apart We'll be together forever Our lives will restart And they will begin As I give her a kiss With her hair blowing in the wind On the day we do kiss On that day That we do kiss Nothing will get in our way As I give her a kiss And I'll give her the ring She'll say yes And I will sing That she said yes
