day by day

we sit there playing

hoping these good feelings are staying

our sadness slowly fading

through this world I’ll be waiting waiting forever lost

I have my joy but at what cost

here again promises to stay and I see that smile every day saying it won't happen again

for when the lies stop I'll never know when

fooled me once not twice

I hope I'm enough  to suffice in life

I'll put down my life and in spite and smile so fake

for love is always at stake

I'll pretend for a while

to keep my fake smile

of mine held so dear in this world

so on my bed I will lay curled

so I dropped the act and faced the facts

I stay in my bed

and thank god it was all in my head
