Day to Day Without My Father

From the day I was born, having my father under the same roof was all that I knew.  Then, during the summer, just before I started 9th grade, everything changed.  My dad left our home.  My mother had to finish raising my brother and I all alone.  To make matters worse, my dad went to be with a woman who had a child with someone else outside of her marriage.  Soon, thereafter, my parents were divorced.  These series of events left me feeling hurt and confused.  I lost respect for the father I trusted so much.  My brother and I was determined to be successful in life, evn if he had broken heart and trust issues where dad was concerned.  We worked as a team with mom, to determine the path for our future.  I obtained an associates in business from Lansing Community College in May of 2018.  I enrolled at Western Michigan Univerity in January of 2019, to pursue a Bacher of Science in Computer Science.  I've learned that no matter what others do that affect my life that I am determined to be successful with God's help and guidance and the support of those who do care and with financial support of scholarships I can make a difference in this world.  I hope and pray that one day, I will be a great family provider and set an example for what a father should be like.  I'm thankful that my maternal grand father and uncles from both sides of the family have demonstrated how a man should head up a household in a Godly fashion and provide for his wife and family and not leave them behind to take care of someone else's wife and child.  I learned that leaning on God that anything is possible.
