the day before disaster struck

And the day before disaster struck

Fate showered us with luck

What was about to be torn apart at the seams

Seemed to be all hopes and dreams

The day before disaster struck

None of us felt that  stuck

All of us were flying high

As we soared through the sky

But all of that was the day before

Now all of us are left feeling sore

We all look upon the past

Missing what couldn’t forever last

All of us question time

Wondering when and why

Our life begins to change

And if it will ever be the same again

And the day before disaster struck

Fate showered us with luck

What was about to be torn apart at the seams

Seemed to be all hopes and dreams

The day before disaster struck

None of us felt that  stuck

All of us were flying high

As we soared through the sky

We now face reality

Thinking about our vulnerability

Wondering how we changed so soon

And faced our impending doom
