As Day Fades

What once was bright day, now fades into night,

As darkness approaches, we give up the fight,

The years take their toll, we see in new ways,

Death comes as a friend in those final days,

We forget all our ties, to this short life,

We lose all our pain, our suffering and strife,

Goodbye to my life, the adventure begins,

Entrance to Heaven, wash away my sins,

Our eyes finally close, as we fade away,

The passing complete, as we die this day.
