A Day In February

A Day In February

February a short month filled with heartache and bad memories

Cold as ice, wet and dreary

No love, no life, for February 16

Pass me by never to see that day again

Never again

Rejection, abandonment, feeling empty inside

And cold outside

Only lonely skies around

Future seems foggy

Eyes are open by the selfishness it sees

Last place, sad face, can’t erase being over looked

And under considered

Broken once again, losing time on broken promises

Words with no actions

Words that disappear once they are spoken

I’m choking, my chest hurts I can’t breath

Crying for freedom but can’t let go of sick patterns

That only repeats itself

Losing hope…hope. Hope?

Feeling unwanted, unattractive, unworthy

Can’t let it to bring me down any more

February 16, a day that freezes over a warm heart

I can’t look at you, don’t want to, as you desire another

My back is what I give you

I’m broken once again

March can’t come soon enough
