As a Day Goes By

In the morning, I wake up and all these problems come about

All of these problems cause me to act out

Parents, parents, parents, what a pain.

They constantly nag you, such a migraine.

Teachers, teachers, teachers, what a bore!

They ramble on and on about some war.

Study, study, study, what good does it do?

If we need it, why not look it up on a “how to”.

Lectures, lectures, lectures, we already know what we’ve done wrong.

If we need to learn a lesson, why not put it in a song.

The sun slowly sets and the moon starts to rise

The thoughts I have in bed open up my eyes.

I can last thousands without my parents

A thousand milliseconds it becomes apparent

The teacher told me about a guy named Lincoln

He did many things, more than even Clinton

Studying makes it easier on you

When you have no resources, you’ll understand it in an adult’s view

A lecture seems more comprehensive than a song

Maybe you can learn why you fix the mistake that you did wrong

There is lots to learn, lots to try,

A lot of lessons as a day goes by
