The Day is Here

The day is here

The day that nobody wanted to come

The day that made me anxious

It made me excited

It made me sad

It was here

The day I moved out

A new chapter in life

That had to be experienced

A chapter where my parents had to let go

I time where I had to grow up

College was here

New environment

Different faces

More expenses

Harder classes

Higher expectations

It was all so stressful

Having to balance everything

A day I have been waiting for forever

Now being old doesn’t seem like fun

I want to be young again

Not have to worry about anything

Having home cooked meals

Mom and dad by my side

I wanted to go home

I couldn’t wait for the holidays

Take me back to the good times

I’m grown now

But I miss being a little girl
