The day I grew up

The day I grew up

Is the day I learned that I was on my own,

The day my birth mother was arrested.

Goodbye little brothers,

goodbye the first father figure I had..

goodbye to the thought of moving on from all the pain .

As for now, I’ve moved on.

Hello to new opportunities,

Hello to new beginnings,

I’ve overcome the pain,

tyrning pain into positivity.
