The Day I Met You

Lush green grass

Sweet radiant flowers abloom

Another Sunday at church

Had arrived soon

Smooth wooden table

Colorful plastic chairs around

Young we were

Five or Six

Brilliant auburn hair

Blue-green eyes

Shy & quiet at first

Not for long though

Two young girls was all

We lived in the moment

Not knowing we would spend

Many of our years

The Best of Friends
