The day my heart stopped
My heart stopped when I saw you
There was nothing I could do
You were the only thing in my world
My love you swirled and twirled
Your laugh so contagious
You were just so outrageous
Then you left for a war unseen
You and I were stuck in between
It seemed like ages apart
But you still had my heart
A babe was brought to us
Oh how she was a fuss
I waited for your return
To see her and learn
She was the blessing
That was so impressing
But you have yet to return my love
They say you are resting above
You will always have my heart
And you will never truly depart
Because my heart has stopped for you
Because our love is true
