Day & Night 2
you were my day and night
you were balanced
everything was as nature intended
but your nights got longer
the days ended sooner
you started suffocating me into your dark dimension
you blanketed me in your pain
you froze me with fear
assuring me the sun would rise soon
the warmth of the day would soon return
i would find safety in the sunny sky
and as even more time passed my world went black
you let the sunshine go
the balance of day and night had shifted
your days grow shorter, darker
poisoned by your angst
and with more moonlight than sunshine
i am afraid
though I love you
you cannot be mine
