Day of Noise
Beep, beep, beep,
Alarm clock.
Thud, shuffle,
Down the stairs.
Bubble, hiss,
Make coffee.
Hum, hum, ding,
Microwave.
Pop, ching, clink,
Butter toast.
Slurp, munch, crunch,
Breakfast done.
Thump, thump, thump,
Back upstairs.
Swish, slosh, spit,
Teeth brushed.
Splash, crash, roar,
Shower time.
Rumble, squeak,
What to wear?
Creak, bang, click,
Door locked.
Slam, vroom, honk,
Drive to work.
Boom, boom, boom,
Rock 'n' roll.
Tip, tap, tip,
Walk inside.
Hum, um, um,
Computers.
Clickety,
Keyboards type.
Whir, whir, whoosh,
Fans cool room.
Blah, blah, blah,
Meeting time.
Tap, tap, tap,
Walk to car.
Honk, vroom, honk,
Traffic bad.
Ooo, la, ooo,
Corny song.
Screech, click, bang,
Back at home.
Clatter, ding,
Dinner time.
Scritch-scratch, scrape,
Forks on plates.
Crash, crash, crash,
Kids run fast.
Um, mumble,
Their reply.
Moan, groan, whine,
Go to bed.
Ha, ha, hee,
Funny show.
Whistle, pour,
Time for tea.
Rustle, flip,
Read to sleep.
