The Day She Lost Herself

She felt her days get longer and her thoughts get stronger.

She felt her chest get heavy and her stomach feel weak.

The kids at school laughed while she cried.Little did they know know she was lost inside.Their words would leave scars on her skin, but they'd pretend they committed no sin.She would scream into her pillow at night because the voices would hurt her with all their might. They would put evil words inside her to relieve oneself,by ending it all and killing herself. The day she lost herself is the day that everyone remembered her name. The day she lost herself is the day they all cried and said it was just a joke… why didn't she just take it as a joke? The day she lost herself is the day that she gave up. It's the day where everyone saw backed up and saw the truth. Her name was Sarah and her parents just split up. Her mom just lost her job,and they couldn't afford expensive clothes or a car for her senior year. The day she lost herself, is the day she gave in and let your words matter. The day she lost herself is the day she let you win.
