That Day at the Shore

Waves crashing in the dead of night, The darkness is almost overwhelming. Cold air cuts to the core, As we pray for it to end. Sirens wale, transformers explode, Leaving a green glow to the sky. Awaking to devastation, Filling our hearts with sadness. Houses crumble to their very foundation, Streets flood to the very rim. Silence is the greatest killer, Time is cruel, Despair is overbearing. That day at the shore, I will never forget, “When the ocean met the bay”.
