on a day like today


on a day like today,

i miss her.

her smile, that crinkle in the corner of her eye,

The eternity between us growing larger 

every blink.

the cold stale air begs for her warm 

and cries in agony over       absence.

the earth weeps.

on a day like today,

i weep.
