The Day You Left Us

The day you left us

It tore me apart

It was like a wound or scar

In my heart

You weren’t just my grandmother

But my guider & my friend

Now you’re God’s Angel

Watching me to pretend

I pretend to be happy

And force a smile on my face

But deep down inside

I’m just a sad case

A sad care that’s broken

And leaves it’s soul sealed

And also one that’s hurt

And can’t quite heal

It’s been 5 years

And I’m holding on

 But I still think about

The days before you were gone

Often days I pray

To help get through the night

But you not being here

Will never feel right.
