Daybreak awaits
Music boxes chime,
While this sad tune plays,
Every good memory gone to dust,
Why can’t I remember? I’m left to wonder,
Where could they have run off to,
Maybe to the moon,
Or some other star,
But not to the sun that’s for sure,
Because the sun doesn’t shine here,
Not in the darkness of my gloomy world,
To feel the warm sun,
Looking up to that night sky,
Awaiting the sun to return,
“Until day break” I tell myself to feel better,
Genuinely feeling as if my sun has been eaten,
Eaten up by the darkness that I’ve taken in,
Spreading my light so far and wide,
To where I gave every last of my spark,
Awaiting the “Daybreak” of someone,
That someone to help me shoulder my darkness.
