Daydreams
The key to my sanity is daydreams.
They bring me to a world like no other.
Distinct from the dreams of my sleeping
And feeling as tangible as thunder.
If life is too heavy for my senses
I retreat to my own private vision.
No more stress about physics equations
And peace is my comforting condition.
After daydreams I achieve sharpened focus
Detached from my stumbling emotions.
I take on every task with new power
And redouble my efforts with devotion.
In the wavy grasses of my fancy
I have traveled on a path of good humor
High school seems much less a burden
And more like the road to my future.
Now my outlook is a brighter one
Without excess woe or numbing strife
I feel like the possibilities have just begun
And I will enjoy a fruitful life.
