Daydreams and Nightmares

D ays when it was you and me
a nd all my
y outhful memories, these are the things in my daydreams
d ancing leaves with in the trees and
r esting myself underneath
e very little thing it seems
a re the things in my daydreams
m emories the future sees and
s o many other special things these are the things in my daydreams
                                                and
n ever having named our stars our
i nner demons from past scars
g rowing old and all alone
h aving a heart thats cold as stone
t he truth that hurt and
m oving on and memories that are long gone
a ll the things we never shared these are the things in my nightmares
r epeating same old past mistakes and
e verything that time starts to take
s o much love I wish I shared these are the things in my nightmares.
