Daylight

I used to hate the night The way it signaled the end How everything bad happened As if it held ominous presence Something only the light took away Now I could recluse from it all Shroud myself in a sheet There the sun never shines Under the sheet I can hold on Never letting a ray touch me Every memory would last What once made the night sweet Would stay in the morning Lingering at the border Never following me to the day Because the ominous night It brings happiness Peace the day has forgotten
