Days in the East

Day's in the east where temperature changes

Faster than my mind races

Today is cold, twenty degrees

Tomorry is sunny with a slight breeze

I am from east cleveland, where the good die young and the bad never prosper

But yet i was made fun of for speaking proper

That is, until i graduated at age sixteen

I then gained new "friends" and new "family"

youngest of the class, though the greatest amongst them all

they look up to me, seriously, 200 cm tall

I came out of the struggle, my mother battling diseases

I work hard every day for her, but she doesnt know shes the reason

Whats going on my mind..

I lay in bed, and let my body unwind

I feel really tired but i say im just fine

Because Im looking at the world whispering "You'll be mine"
