As The Days Go By

As the days go by I see you in the sun. And in the night I see you in the moon. Your tears are the raindrops And your laughs are the little noises made when the leaves rustle. As the days go by it feels more like a dream. When I never wake up I only know that it's not. The thing is, I know everything happens for a reason. Every now and then it seems hopeless to get out of bed in the morning. Until I see the smiling faces around me, then my spirits are lifted. I know I am where I belong. All because of one person. My mom Who makes me realize, that everyday should be spent like your last Even though hers wasn't.

This was the first poem I ever wrote. I started using poetry to express my feelings after my mother died. I believe that people can relate to the way I feel and I hope that they know they are not alone after the passing of someone they loved.
