The Days Go Bye

The grass is green and the sun is bright

The brightest of days still end in night

The sun goes down to raise the moon

The stars will come and be shining too

In the forest an owl will wake

Frogs will be jumping out on the lake

The water ripples as tadpoles play

Here and gone goes another day

A distant howl pierces the cold

The wolves emerge, both young and old

I grab your hand to hold you near

And through the woods prance three deer

They come in close to examine us

But, soon they leave like all things must

Now they are gone leaving just you and I

I guess that's how the days go bye
