Dead

I can see a lot of sparks in you
Hiding behind those pale eyes
Staring through me
Looking at what I'm not sure of

I can see a lot of fight in you
The expression permanently painted on you
Lying on the floor
Thinking your last thought eternally

I can see a lot of light in you
As you sink in a box into the ground
The roof of your world draped in linen
And concrete

I can see a lot of life in you
Behind the crossed arms a heart still beats
Of an idea
That could never die
