dead

I think it is strange how even after we die

Our bodies still function

Giving one last attempt

Our lungs are still full of air

Our hair still grows

Our noses bleed

And our nails become long

So despite the fact that our souls have broken free

Our bodies are still bound by the Earth

And here we remain

Forever
