Dead Air

This vibe Calm before the storm The sound of silence Occupies the air Whispering in the darkness Suffocating life with its puzzling Yet so clear appearance Always there but never seen Invisible presence The cricket does not sound in the night Stars disappear without a trace The moon faintly showing itself Falls Sun rises Still no sound Mother Nature is dead Colors fade to gray The wind is taken over By the black intoxicating stench Roaming the isolated streets The blaze of red, rising, fed by its surroundings Gaining power, growing rage Uncontrollable fear of being dominated Defeated by its stronger element H2 Oh! The misery! Disaster so heavy not a soul in sight One long reoccurring nightmare Bound to never end Water can't save us now
