Dead City

St. Louis the place that was filled with kids everywhere you turned.

Streets filled with laughter and joy until the street lights came on.

It was the heart of Missouri pumpng its vengance through the city molding

the kids that has becomes teens into targets from kindergarten to Mother.

I lived in St. Louis eighteen years. The state bird is a Black Mother.

The state flower is a Black Dead Boy which sounds powerful and bloody as

sorrow. A St. Louisan can use the word "Equality," can a Black use the

word "Dehumanized". In truth lifejacket isnt a Life or Jacket. When I go

back to St. Louis I drive through blood, defeat, poverty, and hopelessness.

When driving in Fergouson pass the QT we the end and leagacy of M.B.

A mother goes son son son no it cant be. I wave at pigs which were not getting

along with the black on black crime. Then a mother goes I forgive I forgive but

not forget its time to move on.

You cant forget how to be from St. Louis when youre from St. Louis
