Dead End
His eyes were darker than black,
but I only saw the green.
He called me up for breakfast
with a deceiving self-esteem.
My heart burned for his presence
but my mind built up a fence,
and when the lights turned dark again,
I came to his defense.
He squeezed my arm and pounded on my head,
begging me to come back to bed,
but I knew nothing about love,
so I left him responsible,
but little did I know
he thought of love as an obtacle.
I knew nothing about love
and here I stand
with a hurricane for a man.
