Dead Inside
Do you know the feeling?
The feeling of nothing?
The numbness inside.
I know the feeling
I know it all to well.
This numbness
Is indescribable
I may be breathing,
but I am dead inside
It doesn’t count
if I am already dead inside.
It doesn’t count
If I can’t feel.
I’m slowly dying
From the inside out.
Starting with my heart.
Do you know the feeling?
The feeling of being
dead inside?
I know that feeling.
I know it all too well.
