A Dead Memory
I waited nine months for you
You were going to be my baby brother
And I was going to be your second mother
As I painted your four walls blue,
I knew it couldn't be true:
When our dad came in with eyes of sorrow,
He said you wouldn't make it by tomorrow
Our family of five would be back down to four
And by then, I couldn't bear it anymore
Who knew our mother's womb
Would become your future tomb?
