Dead or Alive
Someone tell me why
If I’m just living to fight, why am I fighting to live
Why am I tearing up for someone who wasn’t in my life
When there is nothing in sight, why am I trying to see
Why am I feeling bad for someone who didn't know how to treat people right
When no one gives me a try, why am I trying to give
Why am I sad about someone who always had to get in a fight
If I'm just living to die, why am I dying to live
But this time I asked why
Why it was him and not another guy
In the wrong place, at the wrong time
Someone tell me why
He wasn't there when I needing him
He wasn't there when he cried
It wasn't him singing me lullabies at night
All those nights I would curse and pray, but I never wished for him to die
All those nights I'd wait to meet him, now I see him but not alive
Even if he can’t see me, I’m going to try a thrive
And be a better person than he was was
Dead or alive
