Dead Silence

He wouldn't walk me dow the asile.

He wouldn't see how successful I would become this school year.

He was gone.  Although I undestood this, my mind always believed he was still here with us, just somewhere out of sight.  I'm not sure where, maybe on a vacation, since he didn't get those often.

Don't get me wrong,  I know we are blessed... but, almost divorce, a diagnoses of cancer, and moving because of all these things, can do damage to someone. Death, can do damage to someone.  It will eat away at you, distract you from succes; like a shiny store bought toy that awaits in the window for a guilt filled parent ready to burn a hole in their pocket for their future succes story.

Was I your future success story? I guess I'll never know.
