A Deadbeat NOT Forgotten
My deadbeat daddy
The Devil
that spermed into my mother's womb
Creating me
But I'm nothing like you
You're the seed that I wish would have never grew this tree
Sprinkling in everything but the truth
And you'll think
That after 17 years I would know your real name
You backstabbing
Two faced
Too late
Your pull out game must have been too
late
Cuz I believed that I was a mistake
Your name
Trap
Something my momma couldn't get out of
You had her wrapped
tight in the cover on the floor that I wish I could have slapped over
but you did
Hitting her with every blow
As she yelled no
And I watched
The tears run out of my mother's eyes
I was given me a shower that night
You, were filthy
Disgusting
You disgust me
I remember my momma saying
if you hit her again she gone stab you
As we cook breakfast
You burst into the door
She took the knife
And ran to the door
You pushed her to the floor
Eww only if you knew
A few moments later
I remember silence
Looking at you
As I contemplated your death
Yet you were still alive
At the age of 6 I was innocent
But you were proven guilty
Legally I don't know
But in my mind you were mentally guilty for childhood trauma in the 3rd degree
I was birthed into darkness
Physically drained
My childhood was took from me
Everyday I smiled my pain away
But I never forgot it
Coming and going when ever it pleased
Then it vanished
Like you
My deadbeat daddy
