Deadlines
Write the paper,
Take the test,
Hurry up,
But do your best.
You've got one week,
You've got one day,
You have no choice,
But to make an A.
Work your hardest,
Get it right,
Your project's due,
By the end of the night.
This is a group effort,
We all must try,
For my final grade,
On you all I rely.
This is too stressful,
Too much on my plate,
I am so scared,
I won't graduate.
A scholarship I earned,
Thirteen years in the making,
One bad semester,
And it's yours for the taking.
We have deadlines to meet,
Tuition to pay,
It's not fair that I do all the work,
And you get to stay!
I am angry,
I am concerned,
I fear that I won't get ,
The grades that I've earned.
I love my college,
My major and courses,
But it seems the other students,
Are determining forces,
In my furture,
In my education,
And ultimately,
My financial situation.
I am going crazy,
I am losing my mind,
All because I couldn't,
Alone meet the deadlines.
