The Deaf Community

A world of silence

Language spoken through hands and body instead of voice

What most see as a disablity

I see as impowering.

The Deaf Community

A world, community bonded together

Through a language that has shown the world

You don't need to be able to speak with your voice

To be heard.

Growing up with a Deaf mother

She showed me how that is possible.

Now I long to be that voice for them

To prove to the world

There is no "Deaf and Dumb."

I will be the interpretor, that refuses to let them get pushed aside

Because The Deaf Community

Is my inspiration.

Their language, American Sign Language.

Is my true passion.
