DEAL WITH IT

I worry about myself sometimes

Because I’m so out of touch

When I come into contact with regular people

I cringe and frown and such

I haven’t been raised to be with them

I haven’t learned to accept

That most of these people are fine with mediocrity

And that I can’t demand their success

I can’t demand their commitment

I can’t demand their attention

I can’t demand my right to be nasty

When my limited patience is expended

Poverty, Ignorance

Insecurity and Stubbornness

Get passed down like hand-me-downs

And according to everyone sensible, I have to learn to deal with it
