Dealing With Death

My mind it's in havoc.

My thoughs are jumbled,

They confuse me so.

How can I understand?

How can I possibly comprehend?

Oh yes I have experienced death;

I have felt the loss.

But I never felt it so close.

Never have I-

Oh how can I?

I thought I had understood

What death truly was,

But now I'm uncertain.

So holds the truth:

Death is unknown to the living,

Only known to the dead

And dead men tell no tales.

Death,

I do not understand.
