Dealing with depression

A viscious fight between body and mind

Depression is that one of a kind

As the mind flows going left to right

You stare into the dark staying up all night

You want to give up you want it to end

All you need is someone to listen, a friend

Depression is a battle winning is never a choice

Don't be afraid speak up you have a voice

There are steps to take when the times get bad

Don't pick up a knife or the pills when you are sad

Talk to a friend or someone who knows

Just what the struggles are that depression throws

You keep fighting and prove you won't lose

Even tough you can't win it's your life and you choose

Depression is a struggle the disease is real

Take it from me I know how you feel.

Just your average every day guy who is battling depression, anxiety and life in general. I write to get my negative thoughts out of my head and to be a voice for those who are not yet willing to talk about these diseases.
