Dear
Dear Violence,
I see you around the world
Spoken from mouths who do not even understand you
Dear Hate,
Lies come out of your mouth like a waterfall
You are a dictator of things that do not even involve you
You are only as strong as someone lets you be
You are the one aspect that will never be a part of me
Dear Acceptance,
I know you are somewhere to be found
You keep people smiling ear to ear
You are found in bits and pieces
Dear Equality,
I see you in my family
My teachers
My friends
I want to see you everywhere
Then maybe, just maybe,
The world will finally be at peace
& we will finally thrive
I hope to be yours,
Debbie
