Dear 6 year old me

Six year old me

If by chance you read

This letter

Listen closely,

Do you remember the times we cried

For we announced our fears

And swallowed our pride

For tomorrow’s storm became our home

And our future was set in stone

a thundering fear, striked our hearts

and we shattered and became worlds apart

So thanks to the nights we awoke in fear

And thanks to the days we saw a sky crystal clear

a city in ruins and dreams to ashes

We burned bright, but not enough to last us

So if by chance you read this letter I wrote,

Please take note

grab your teddy and lift your chin

For life will pass you like the wind

words will hurt and life will bruise

and leave you a broken rose

And for the smell of sulfur still in mind

Remember sweetie,

All wounds heal in time

So lift your chin and smile wide

We love you

Keep that in mind.
