Dear Abyss

Dear Abyss, how long do you think you can hold onto me so tightly

Dear Abyss, Tell me what it is that you want

And I will feed you

“Bring me your joy, your love, and your health”

I can’t drain all of this out of myself

And be expected to carry out unharmed

So I’ll steal it from others

All for a chance to be in your arms once more

Dear Dead Abyss, I think it’s time for us to part ways

Call me old fashioned

But we can pretend that this never happened

So that’s what I’ll do

I’ll miss you

I love you

I hate you
