Dear anorexia

Dear anorexia, There are so many things I wish I could say I hope I'll get the nerve to tell you off one day You ruined my life and I'm gonna make you pay Because I know I'm stronger than you in every way You started as a thought and grew into a voice Made me feel as though I didn't have a choice Didn't have a choice to ever eat a meal Took advantage of me; my life you tried to steal Slowly but surely I completely lost feel Told me a million lies that felt so damn real Running myself into the ground; thought I was strong Thought skinny meant pretty; I was so wrong I lost myself, my family and friends You scream at me while I try to defend I’m so broken, I can no longer pretend Somehow I realized you're just a dead end Had to rebuild myself from the very start I think you'll always be a part of my heart A part that I will never forgive nor need Cuz you broke me , on the floor I bleed I used to think you were doing me a deed I'm recasting my life, you're no longer the lead I am now stronger than you, I know what I'm worth I’m gonna live my life and make a purpose on this earth
