Dear Anxiety

Dear Anxiety

By: Michael Marinaccio

Your violent storms rip through my nervous field,

Tearing apart the ends of sanity,

Opening doors to consumption of death,

And closing doors to the light of hope.

Your tornadoes whirl through my mind,

Picking up loose ends of the rope,

Turning on the reality of time,

And turning off dreams of the past.

Your hurricanes rip through my emotions,

Raining down upon any sense of success,

Repairing damage of failure,

But causing damage from positivity.

Your storms live inside of me.

They consume me.

They drive me insane.

But they will never destroy me.
