Dear Anxiety

Dear anxiety,

You follow me like a sulking shadow

You are a constant whisper in my ear

You stab me when I least expect it

But you do not control me

I won’t listen to you anymore

I won’t tremble when I hear your voice

I won’t run when you tell me to

I am not your slave

Your presence will not stop me

I will live my life how I want to

Your commands will not control me

I will shatter my fear like glass

You will not break me

You will not hurt me

So it’s finally time

That we say goodbye
