Dear Anxiety,

Dear Anxiety,

I will no longer allow you to linger over me,

to have the power to control how I feel.

I will no longer let you gain control of my sanity,

unable to differentiate the vague between what is real.

If it is corruption you seek, here I 'tis not,

My mind is not a playground for your trails to rot.

for it is power, you seek so longingly;

And I, I pass by and hope you'll let me be.

For I am the girl you took in your hold,

Always a prisoner forced to fold.

Here I am dealing with the cards that I've been dealt,

While others lay happily never having felt:

The encapsulating pain that follows me,

for which I have to bear along with you.

Anxiety or death the meanings are obscene

Now it is time that you leave.
