dear ariel
where did we go wrong?
why am i singing this song?
i trusted you with my heart
you went ahead and tore it apart
we were friends one day
and strangers the next
i saw you on your own, without me
with your bag on the flex
i gave you a hundred and ten
to be treated this way
i'm all that you had
but you threw it away
you gave me this journal
for whatever my heart desires
well it's you, you were all i had
you were the one who lit up the fire
twenty years from now
i'll still remember your name
you left a mark on my soul
a scar, you're the one to blame
you lost yourself a loyal one
those are hard to come by
so this is me, moving on from our past
from the bottom of my heart, goodbye.
