Dear Aunt. Dear Uncle.

What I want to say but never will.
I wish you treated me differntly.
I know I'm not your own but why invite me into your home
And make me feel like a burden.
Hate is a strong word but you make me hate it here.
Why do I feel uncomfortable in my own "home."
All I ever wanted was parents that cared enough
And someone to be proud of my accomplishmenrts.
When I finally found a voice and told you how I felt, you shut me down.
I never knew my own opinion could be wrong.
I can't talk to you or him
Because you do not how to communicate to anyone but your  kids.
You're suppose to raise your kids to be better than you
Yet you don'tt want me to be great.
Never will I see the day that you tell me you love me.
I can't wait till I turn eighteen, maybe then I'll be free.

Sincerly your niece
