Dear, Best Friend
Many people don’t understand how much you mean to me, but the only thing that matters, is how much I see.
When you were taken away from me, I felt like I might die, and deep down inside that hasn’t changed, I feel like I might cry.
The work the countless hours, the blood and sweat and tears, the many memories and moments shared, oh, how dear.
Since your years of labor have surely passed, no longer shall you see, live your life in peace, in happy company.
I know you can’t understand me, but you can hear my voice, so rest easy, my lost partner, and rejoice.
No longer shall I sorrow, no longer shall I fear, with this knowledge I take comfort, but am ever near.
Please do not forget me, please do not omit, those precious days that we once shared, please do not forget.
